Lucy Feng shows art at Four Corners library

Visual Arts Brampton teen member Lucy Feng is now on display at the Four Corners library.

Visit the showcases on the second floor of Brampton Library's downtown branch to see artwork by this talented teen, who has won two golds with VAB in her two years with the youth classes.

Lucy was one of the winners for the Credit Valley Conservation Authority's Floating Island Project. Her painting "Happy Day" toured Brampton and the Canadian National Exhibition as part of "25 Years: VAB's Floral Art Show", and has been active at VAB events like Brampton Day and Carabram. Most recently, her artwork was featured in The Brampton Guardian, in promotion of the Teddy Bear Project art exhibit.

The show continues until January 2012.

Christmas art at Shoppers World, via John Knox school

From now until early January 2012, Christmas art by students from John Knox Christian School is on display at Shoppers World Brampton.

The exhibit is at Silver Clips Artworks Gallery (formerly youth-only space Fridge Front Gallery), in the shopping centre's northwest entry corridor, just south of Winners.

The school was founded in 1959 by the Christian Reformed Church, and has an enrollment of over 300 students. The school first exhibited with VAB in December 2009, and has had shows annual at Christmas since, as well as a few shows in other months.
